Last April 22~24,2008, members of the VMA Civic Action Group for Emergency Response Services led by CAPT FERDINAND M TURBANOS, PCGA and CDR RAUL C ALVAREZ, PCGA together with the Researchers from La Consolacion College-Bacolod and University of Negros Occidental Recoletos joined hand in hand in conducting a technical study on Mangrove and Assessment of the Mangrove stand in Sanctuary Island, Punta Taytay, covering an area of twenty (20) hectares mangrove reforestation project of the VMA Global College. The technical survey was part of the research project entitled "Establishing Baseline Information on Mangrove- Basis for Livelihood"- CHED funded research project in collaboration with the Siliman University Research Center.
